Marigold & Mercy didn't start with a business plan. It started with a quiet conviction: that the way we present our work online matters, and that mission-driven organizations deserve more than a template that almost fits.
We wanted to build a studio where the design process itself felt humane — slower, more attentive, less about chasing trends and more about listening for the heart of an organization and helping it come through.
Where the name came from
The marigold is small, sturdy, and quietly beautiful — a flower that shows up where you least expect it and lasts long after others have faded. Mercy is the disposition we want underneath everything we make: a posture of kindness toward our clients, their audiences, and the work itself.
“Beautiful design isn't decoration. It's hospitality — a way of saying, you're welcome here, and your story matters.”
That's the heart we bring to every project. Whether it's a regatta site or a nonprofit refresh, we want the people who land on the page to feel cared for. That's the work. That's the whole thing.
